on many occasions
to explain
this feeling.

there's a smile, and then there's
a burst of radiance
exploding from my belly button
up to my throat
and out through my parted lips
and teeth and toungue and all

i finally feel alive again
like a bud rapidly opening
in a fastforward nature film
and the clouds are racing toward
the sunset and then there's night
and day
and happy
